1. Tahmoore
In 2008, Tahmoore required a Telescopic, Horizontal Tyre Handler.
- Extended range to allow the pickup of rims without special attachments;
- A robust arm design to optimise weight to increase the pad wear surfaces;
- An increase in the slewing range;
- A compact mainframe design; and
- Accessibility of hydraulic cylinders.
In 2007, Alcoa asked Project Industries to address a specific material handling issue relating to the process of replacing heat exchanger tubes in vertical heat exchangers.
Project Industries created a mobile machine that was operated by a remote control facility. It was also modular in structure and could be used to fit heat exchanges of different configurations. Alcoa required the machine to be fitted with interlocking features to ensure a safe working environment.
In 2007, Rock Australia required a special Probe Drilling Rig to be designed and manufactured. The drilling head had to be positioned at a high level from ground with all angles adjustable. An existing rough terrain crane was re-engineered to accept all new sub-assemblies and the latest cabin safety features added to comply with the highest safety standards.
In 2008, Worsley Aluminia required a solution to improve the existing process for the cutting of rubber belts.
After design and fabrication:
Project Industries' design and fabrication of the pneumatic rubber belt cutting machine resulted in significant productivity gains and substantial safety benefits.
